*ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY*

The Trading Post Coordinator position is a key position to aid with the
goals of promoting Métis cultural revitalization through commerce,
providing welcoming experiences for prospective customers, and development
of retail and tourism through the enhancement of the Métis Trading Post
online and onsite at Point Ellice House in Victoria, BC.
The Coordinator, Trading Post acts as an advocate to promote and market
local Métis artists, vendors, and businesses. This position will help with
the vision and growth of the Métis Trading Post as a cultural platform for
retail opportunities. The position will provide oversight on product
development, inventory, sales administration, and coordination of the
online and onsite retail store at Point Ellice House. The position is
critical in enhancing the guest experience for visitors at Point Ellice
House and will be responsible for all guest interactions from inquiries,
bookings, visitation, sales, and monthly reporting. This position works
closely with the onsite Heritage Manager and Garden Coordinator with daily
operations and during special events.
