Hey folks,
An exciting opportunity at Museum of Surrey. Wage is $38.29/hr to $43.02/hr. Please see attached.
Thank you

SCOPE
As one of the busiest museums in Western Canada, Museum of Surrey (MOS), with a robust, exciting exhibit program, is looking for an enthusiastic and creative Curator of Exhibits. The successful candidate is highly organized self starter and has solid community partnership, exhibit development and design experience. The Curator of Exhibits is committed to Indigenous reconciliation, accessibility, community engagement, anti-racism, and a visitor experience philosophy that believes that the visitor and storytelling are at the heart of decision-making. Reporting to the Museum Manager, the Curator of Exhibits is a member of the Museum leadership and supervises a small, but talented exhibits team.
Museum of Surrey’s mission is to ignite imaginations and connect Surrey's diverse citizens and communities through participation, engagement, and stories. We are a people museum, committed to helping communities share their stories of identity, belief, struggle, and success. High quality temporary and permanent exhibitions are a significant component of this mission. If you enjoy connecting with community partners, have experience in curating exhibits and exhibit development while supervising a group of creative and dynamic staff, and believe strongly in access for all, you will thrive in our active Museum.
Note that physical work is sometimes required with some exposure to changing environments. Due to some evening and weekend work, a flexible schedule is needed although the ‘normal’ work week is Monday to Friday with one day working from home.
