[BCMA] Collections Assessment for Insurance

Hi everyone,

 

We at the Maritime Museum of BC are considering doing a full assessment of our collection for insurance purposes as this hasn’t been done in over five years. We don’t seem to have paperwork on hand from the last time this assessment was done, so we’re unsure of how our current valuation came to be. At this point I’m thinking it best we start this process fresh.

 

Has anyone done a full collections assessment in the past few years? What resources did you use to start this process? I can’t seem to find anything direct from CMA or BCMA.

 

For reference our insurance is through the CMA program with Marsh.
