Gallery Attendant
Kamloops Art Gallery is seeking a Gallery Attendant to create a welcoming and informative environment for all visitors. If you're an art enthusiast and enjoy sharing your enthusiasm, you'll find this a fulfilling job: you're surrounded by artworks all day and have opportunities to speak to visitors about them.
As the first point of contact, the Gallery Attendant provides an important service in welcoming and informing all Gallery visitors, aiding in the overall visitor experience, ensuring the safety of the artwork, and engaging in the daily operations of the Gallery Store.
The successful candidate is personable and engaging; has a deep interest in contemporary art and an affinity for art that you are willing to share with the public; speaks clearly when providing information to visitors; displays a confident, friendly manner as a gallery professional; and has strong time management and self-organization skills.
The Kamloops Art Gallery is an equal opportunity employer and thanks all applicants for their interest in the Gallery. Women, people of colour, Indigenous persons, persons with disabilities, people in the LGBTQIA2S+ community, and people from other historically excluded communities are strongly encouraged to apply.
Wage: $15.65 to $16.50 per hour, depending on experience
