Registration is now OPEN for the following AABC professional development
opportunities!

*Distance Education Course: "Managing Archival Photographs"*

Over 10 weeks students will learn about the history of photography and
different technical processes and how to appraise, accession, describe and
preserve this popular format that is found in every archive, library, and
museum collection. Students will also look at the specific guidelines when
it comes to reference, copyright, public outreach, and the best practices
for digitization.

Course duration: September 12 - November 21, 2022

Course fee: AABC members: $350.00; non-members $500.00 (CAD) plus the cost
of the course textbook

Registration: June 1 - August 31, 2022

*AABC Anti-Racism Bursary*

"Managing Archival Photographs" is eligible for the AABC Anti-Racism
Bursary which covers registration and textbook costs for one Indigenous,
Black and/or Person of Colour (IBPOC) per distance education course. More

Hands-On Workshop"*

Join us for this hands-on, online workshop and leave with the skills and
resources necessary to adequately express the quality, quantity, and
usability of the digital material in your collection. More information
