Join us on July 20 for a free workshop on the Museums Assistance Program (MAP) funding stream, the Recovery Fund for Heritage Organizations<https://www.canada.ca/en/canadian-heritage/services/funding/museums-assistance/recovery-fund-heritage-orgs.html>, available through Canadian Heritage A representative from Canadian Heritage will cover the application process and program guidelines for this funding and will be available for your questions after the presentation.  The workshop will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. MT via Zoom.

New funding is being released by Canadian Heritage through the Canada Arts and Culture Recovery Program (CACRP), to provide targeted support to cultural organizations that still face significant financial challenges because of the pandemic. Program Advisor Jason Lavin will give an overview of the program guidelines, explaining what types of expenses and organizations are eligible for funding and answering your questions about the application process and assessment.

About the Recovery Fund

To support the heritage sector, $13.6M in funding will be distributed on a first-come basis through the Recovery Fund for Heritage Organizations<https://www.canada.ca/en/canadian-heritage/services/funding/museums-assistance/recovery-fund-heritage-orgs.html> under the Museums Assistance Program (MAP). The deadline to apply for this funding is August 2, 2022 at 5:00pm EST.

Who Can Apply
Not-for-profit organizations with a heritage collection, such as museums, archives, galleries, and historic sites, may be eligible to receive funding. Indigenous organizations with a heritage collection are also encouraged to apply. Organizations can receive between $1,000 and $80,000 in support for ongoing expenses.
