*The Exploration Place is set to reopen on June 18, and we are hiring for
multiple positions.*



   - *Science & Heritage Interpreter*

The Science & Heritage Interpreter is responsible for engaging visitors by
sharing our stories through activities, demonstrations, and tours. The
Interpreter will provide support on the gallery floor and provide
information to visitors about the museum, its collections, and its
exhibits. The Interpreter will also provide educational outreach when
appropriate and work to enhance the visitor’s experience at The Exploration
Place through interaction and engagement related to our community, science,
and history.



   - *Elements Retail Clerk*

The Retail Clerk is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the
Elements Retail space, including answering customers’ questions, processing
transactions, and helping to manage inventory. Elements Retail will provide
a variety of items for people of all ages that will inspire visitors,
giving them a way to keep their experience alive or share it with others
after their visit with us.



   - *Origins Kitchen Front End Staff*

We are looking for those who can work closely with others and that have a
desire to have a customer-forward position within Origins Kitchen. They
will be responsible for making quality beverages, generating specialty hot
drinks, preparing food orders, working the cash register, and cleaning and
stocking the store. They must do all of these tasks quickly and efficiently
while also forming good customer relationships.



   - *Origins Kitchen Staff*

We are looking for those that have a desire to prepare delicious meals
according to menu. You will prepare dishes that will delight our customers
with their taste and creativity. You will follow instructions in baking,
prepping, delivering well-prepared meals, and cleaning. You must be deft in
moving around the kitchen and apt in multi-tasking. Experience in using
various ingredients and cooking techniques is also important.



   - *Visitor Services Assistant*

The Visitors Services Assistant is an opportunity to help contribute to our
growing organization and support The Exploration Place day to day
operations. As you operate our front desk and admissions, you will interact
with great people at work and in the community. Must present a friendly
demeanour while interacting with visitors of all ages, cultures, and
backgrounds. Must embrace and model outstanding customer service to all and
be willing to provide solutions to whatever comes your way.



   - *Custodian*

The Custodian is responsible for the day-to-day cleaning of all museum
areas, both front and back of house and a variety of routine maintenance
and groundskeeping work. Custodial duties are necessary to maintain our
operations, as well as to mitigate communicable illnesses. This position
supports The Exploration Place by providing a clean, safe, and inviting
environment for visitors, volunteers, and staff, keeping up a very high
standard of cleanliness in our facility, helping with events set up and
tear down, and other facility tasks.
