The City of Delta is looking for dynamic, creative, and reliable auxiliary Cultural Services staff to fill our summer student roles for 2026.

Curatorial Assistant – Young Canada Works (YCW)

  *   May 5, 2026, to August 22, 2026, 35 hours per week
Museum Education Assistant – Young Canada Works (YCW)

  *   May 11, 2026 to August 27, 2026, 35 hours per week

These 16-week summer employment opportunities are ideal for those who are pursuing progressive mentoring experience as a heritage and museum professional. The candidate should be entering their final years of study in history, education, Indigenous studies, archaeology, or museum studies or a related program at a recognized university. They should have skills and knowledge and/or an interest in productively engaging with diverse communities. We encourage applications from those with lived experience or from equity seeking groups. Please note that the staffing of these positions and their duration are conditional on the approval of the grant application submitted to the Young Canada Works program.

These auxiliary positions provide a competitive salary of $30.41 per hour + 12% in lieu of vacation, public holidays, and benefits.
