Hello,

Is this you or someone you know, please share this with them. U’mista Cultural Centre (UCC) is seeking applicants for a Collections Assistant

U'mista Cultural Centre is seeking an enthusiastic student to support our collections team during an exciting museum reorganization (REORG) project.

Are you pursuing a degree in Museum Studies, Indigenous Studies, History, Anthropology, Fine Arts, or a related field? Do you have strong organizational skills and attention to detail — essential for supporting a hands-on collections reorg? Are you comfortable working with databases and computer applications, particularly Word and Excel, or eager to learn? Do you have a genuine interest in Indigenous cultural heritage and museum practice?

This role will involve organizing, cataloguing, and physically relocating collection items as part of a structured reorg initiative. The ability to follow systematic processes, maintain accurate records, and work carefully with culturally significant objects is central to this position.
