[BCMA] Call for Participation - Last Call for October What We Hold contributions

Hello everyone!
As October comes to a close, the Gulf of Georgia Cannery is putting out a last call for contributions to this month’s audience-focused What We Hold pop-up installation. Inspired by the new feature exhibit Cannery REcollections: Redefining Storytelling through Objects, What We Hold is a monthly pop-up installation at the Cannery that shares the personal objects and belongings of Steveston, Richmond, and Lower Mainland community members, as well as the stories that these objects hold. October’s What We Hold has been dedicated to sharing the stories and voices of newcomers to Canada, as well as those of Canadian immigrants (and their families) past and present.
 Are you a newcomer or Canadian immigrant? Do you have family stories about the experience of coming to or settling down in Canada? We invite you to take part in October’s What We Hold by sharing an object and story. Additionally, if you have family, friends, or other community members who might be interested in contributing to the pop-up, please pass on this invitation to them. The more voices and experience we can highlight and share, the better!
