Hello everyone,

Let’s celebrate the summer with Friday music nights! The Gulf of Georgia Cannery is bringing back Steveston favourites for jaunty maritime choruses and heartfelt harmonies with the return of Music at the Cannery, weekly from July 18th-August 8th, 2025. Join the community for a warm evening of entertainment with returning favourites Willie Blizzard and the Halifax Wharf Rats, and explore new musical talents with Bea Lagrisola Jazz and two-time Juno nominated performer Shawnee Kish!

Friday, July 18th at 6:30pm – Bea Lagrisola Jazz

For the first time ever, welcome the Bea Lagrisola Jazz players! New on the scene, they’re bringing bebop, modern jazz, and funky interpretations of Filipino folk songs.

Friday, July 25th at 6:30pm – Willy Blizzard
     *
The acoustic group returns for another year, playing roots/folk featuring beautiful vocal pairings, guitars, banjo, and stand-up bass.

Friday, August 1st at 6:30pm – Shawnee Kish (Two-time Juno Nominee)
     *
For the first time ever, welcome two-time JUNO nominee, Shawnee Kish! This Mohawk singer-songwriter combines her powerful alt-country vocals with profound storytelling.

Friday, August 8th at 6:30pm – Halifax Wharf Rats
     *
A mainstay of music nights past, they’ll be pumping out classic rock, Celtic melodies, and pub tunes made for dancing.
