As part of the BCMA's research project on accountability practices
<https://museum.bc.ca/brain/researching-accountable-practices/>, we
undertook a survey to hear your feedback about the sector's issues and
needs related to accountability. Our findings showed that:
- People are experiencing/witnessing unethical behaviour/misconduct in
their workplace
- Organizations need support in building ethics policies
- There is a need to go beyond policies & procedures and focus on
workplace culture
- Equity-deserving groups are disproportionately impacted
- People are seeking educational resources and training opportunities
In conjunction with the project on accountability practices, we are
welcoming Pamela Forward, founder and Board President of Whistleblowing
Canada Research Society, to present on the ways to create an ethical
climate at your organization.
What is an ethical climate? Is your organization closed and defensive or
open and reflective? What steps can leadership and management take to help
create a healthy, ethical climate in the workplace?
Come join us virtually on *January 22nd from 12:00pm - 1:00pm *for the *BCMA
Webinar: Learning to be Better – creating a healthy, ethical climate in
your organization *to learn more*. *Click here
