Be careful as they will modify things to suit them. See if they will pay one of your volunteers to oversee their operation. We've had film crews who have removed lighting and damaged walls. They always say they will pay for damages but for us it takes a lot of time to fix what they take apart. Money doesn't always help.

Subject: [BCMA] Filming Guidelines for Historic Properties

We’re in discussions about having a movie filmed on our historic site (sawmill site with housing). Does anyone have filming guidelines they’re willing to share, or suggested resources?

I’m thinking about restrictions or any other matters that should be discussed with the film company, particularly with regards to the protection of the historic resource.

Thanks!

The City of Port Alberni would like to acknowledge and recognize that we work, live and play on the unceded territories of the Tseshaht [c̓išaaʔatḥ] and Hupačasath First Nations.
