Visitor Services Manager

Kamloops Art Gallery is seeking a Visitor Services Manager to guide the front-line presence of the Gallery by supervising a team of at least four and managing the day-to-day operations of the Gallery Store. As the focus of all visitor service efforts, the Visitor Services Manager upholds the Gallery’s mission to foster community engagement with art through exhibitions, programs, and the Gallery’s collection.

The successful candidate possesses visitor service experience; demonstrates a commitment to the importance of historical and contemporary art; has managed teams; and has outstanding organizational, communication, and computer skills, as well as a keen eye for detail and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a busy environment.

Employee status: Permanent employment; 35 hours per week

Salary:  $22 to $26 an hour, depending on experience. The Gallery offers a competitive compensation package that includes health benefits, RSP top-up, and flexible working arrangements and hours.
