[BCMA] Deaccessioning 1940s Recordio Unit- Anyone Interested?

Hello Everyone,

Nakusp and District Museum is looking to deaccession a 1947 model of the
Wilcox Gay Recordio Machine. It is in fair / well worn condition with lots
of scuffs, and we are unsure if the wiring works (though it appears
promising). The machine has remained in storage for the entire time we have
had it in our collection. This is one of the original home recording
machines, equipped to create records of home-memories (christmas,
birthdays, babies talking, etc.).

Alternatively, if you know an institution who may be interested in this
item, please let us know. If there is no interest in the machine by the end
of October- we will explore other methods of deaccessioning the item from
our collection, as we do not have the proper space to accommodate this
piece.
