[BCMA] September 28th 2022 - Lower Mainland Curators Group Meet Up

The Lower Mainland Curators Group will be hosting its next meeting on Wednesday, September 28th 2022 from 3pm to 5pm. This informal, on-site meeting will be held at the Vancouver Maritime Museum and will consist of a curator’s tour of A Wild & Wet Coast: Rum-Running During Prohibition. The focus will be on exhibition development, design, and the visitor experience. There will also be time to mingle afterwards.

Paid parking is available in the museum’s lot for non-museum members. There is also free street parking available. Please pre-register by emailing Mary at associate.curator at vanmaritime.com<mailto:associate.curator at vanmaritime.com>.

The Lower Mainland Curators Group was created in January 2019 for anyone working in the Curatorial field including Curators, Exhibit Designers, Conservators and Researchers. The group is coordinated by a team of volunteer organizing members from museums around Metro Vancouver. The Group presents an annual series of virtual and in-person sessions to discuss newly launched projects at neighbouring institutions and to share challenges and lessons learned.
