Heritage BC is hiring a full-time permanent position to assume the
responsibility of administering the Heritage Legacy Fund and other grant
funds HBC manages and be active in the development of new initiatives of
Heritage BC.

Heritage Grant Administrator and Heritage Planner

Full time permanent Employee position.

Remote work from home.  35 hours a week.

Salaried position.  $59,000-$65,000 CDN with a benefits package.  Salary
will reflect years of experience.

Job Summary


The Heritage Planner and Grant Administrator will be at the forefront of
Heritage BC’s program delivery through the administration of a key grant
program, the Heritage Legacy Fund, as well as the management of other grant
programs administered on behalf of government and partners.  The position
supports the strategic priorities of having Heritage BC be a guiding leader
and supportive connector for the heritage sector, building awareness of the
importance and diversity of cultural heritage, building community
partnerships and maximizing capacities of communities, and supporting being
a member service organization in general.  The Heritage Grant Administrator
and Heritage Planner will integrate grassroots grant making best practices
so that HBC can be a trusted partner.  Heritage BC offers the opportunity
to work with heritage focused organizations, municipalities, First Nations
and communities across the province. Key responsibilities of this position
include: administration of the Heritage Legacy Fund, community partnership
development, research to support funding advocacy.

Heritage BC relies on a small team, therefore, there is an expectation that
all team members have energetic interest in the full operation of the
organization and will support other team members’ work of delivering
Heritage BC’s services.  The Heritage Grant Administrator and Heritage
Planner will become familiar with membership, education programs and
resources and other HBC strategic initiatives so that there can be overall
success.

5-7 years of related work experience in non-profit/charitable,
philanthropic or related field or administration of programs with a high
level of administration responsibility in tracking contracts and funding.
Your educational background will be in arts administration, cultural
resource management, community development, business or related
disciplines. You will also possess strong knowledge of heritage
conservation and programming, program evaluation, research and writing.
Experience with budgets and project management is an asset. Candidates must
also demonstrate strong skills in technology platforms in order to be
successful with digital and in-person program delivery and manage their
work outputs in a virtual/remote office setting.

The Heritage Grant Administrator and Heritage Planner reports directly to
the Executive Director (ED) and collaboratively works with other staff.
