Bookkeeper
The Kamloops Art Gallery is seeking a Bookkeeper. This is an ideal part-time position for an organized and detail-oriented person to contribute to our mandate in support of art, artists, and communities.
The Bookkeeper is a key role at the Gallery, one where staff, our members, and donors expect a high level of commitment to the Gallery's efforts and general professionalism. The Bookkeeper is the front-line presence in the Administration area; coordinates accounts payable and receivable; and provides administrative support to the Financial Controller and KAG team.
The successful candidate possesses experience as a Bookkeeper; outstanding organizational skills; strong communication and computer skills (specifically QuickBooks and Microsoft programs, including Word, Excel and Outlook); a keen eye for detail; the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a busy office environment; a commitment to supporting colleagues; an ability to lift 25 pounds; and an interest in the contemporary and historical visual arts.

Located in Secwepemcúlecw, it is the largest art gallery in the Interior of British Columbia and boasts a collection of over 3,000 works of art. With more than 12 exhibitions each year, the Gallery offers diverse, accessible, and affordable experiences, including talks, tours, and studio-based programming for people of all ages and abilities.
