*Spring Break Camp Leader *



*The Richmond Museum invites applications for a responsible, enthusiastic
and creative Spring Break Camp Leader.*



The Richmond Museum offers a dynamic *Junior Curators -- Spring Break Camp*
that introduces children ages 6-12 to the exciting behind-the-scenes world
of a museum. Children apply what they have learned by creating an exhibit
for public display at the Richmond Cultural Centre.



The first camp runs from Mar 14-18, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for children
ages 6-8.

The second camp runs from Mar 21-25, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for children
ages 9-12.



The Spring Break Camp Leader is responsible for delivering this program
independently under the supervision of the Educational Programs
Coordinator. Responsibilities include:

»      preparing materials and resources for each day of camp

»      maintaining a positive and healthy learning environment

»      maintaining active supervision, especially during field trips

»      liaising with Museum staff and parents

»      providing direction to volunteers

»      evaluating and providing feedback about this program



Qualifications:

   - a minimum of 2 years experience supervising groups of children;
   - a minimum of 3 years of post-secondary education in museum studies,
   history or education, and/or related experience in a museum, heritage or a
   cultural setting;
   - enthusiasm for working with children; and
   - passion for history and museums.



Successful applicants must show proof of vaccination for the COVID-19 virus
and undergo a police information check.



*$22.00 per hour plus 16% in lieu of benefits*



*Work Period:*

March 14-18 and March 21-25, 2021, from 8:30am-4:30pm

Plus an additional 20 hours for prep work
