[BCMA] Surrey Nature Centre - multiple positions open

Hi all, the Surrey Nature Centre is hiring a total of six people for three positions as we expand our program offerings. All positions are union, auxiliary and classified as Community Services Assistant 2; wage: $21.09/hour, plus 12% in lieu of vacation and health/sick benefits.

Front Counter attendant (1 position):

  *   responsible for general telephone, email and in-person reception duties
  *   maintain the lobby and indoor, drop-in interpretive space
  *   predicted 28-hour work week (Monday to Saturday), which may include evening shifts
  *   anticipated start date is March 15, 2022.
Program Leaders (2 positions):

  *   Deliver a wide range of programs including nature walks (virtual and in-person), school programs (virtual and in-person), nature story times, and pop-up interpretation
  *   Act as a facility attendant during facility bookings
  *   Scheduling based on programming needs and will include weekdays, weekends, and evening shifts
  *   Anticipated start date is March 15, 2022
Summer Day Camp Leaders (3 positions):

  *   Deliver full-day, nature-themed day camps to children ages 6 – 12 years old
  *   based on a 35-hour work week (Monday – Friday)
  *   starting early June and ending August 31st
