Fixed Term Job Posting

We are hiring a Communications Coordinator at Heritage BC.Fixed Term
Employee position. Vacant Until Filled (end date December 23, 2022) ;
Continuation into 2023 very likely but is dependent on 2023 budget.

Remote work from home.  Part Time –  20 hours a week.

Paid hourly at  $26.00 per hour.

Heritage BC is looking for a new team member to assist in developing its
online presence and increasing the visibility and accessibility of its
extensive digital resources and virtual/in-person programs. As an entirely
digital organization, Heritage BC is involved in an ongoing process to
elevate our digital communications profile and create a cohesive visual and
textual identity across our online presence. As a member focused
organization that serves professionals, heritage advocates and diverse
organizations and communities across British Columbia, Heritage BC is
seeking a candidate who can encompass a variety of engagements, programs
and advocacy into their work. As such, the Communications Coordinator will
play an important role in crafting strategic messaging with the team and be
responsible for executing consistent communications across Heritage BC
platforms.

The Communications Coordinator will have training in marketing and
communications, be self-sufficient and able to produce graphic materials to
a high standard.  They will share a passion for history, tangible and
intangible heritage, and heritage conservation. Candidates must also
demonstrate strong skills in technology platforms and manage their work
outputs in a virtual/remote office setting. Previous experience developing
digital marketing strategies is an asset.

The Communications Coordinator’s primary responsibilities will include:
Coordinating Heritage BC communications, creating digital outreach
materials and strategies, and developing new standards and systems for
promoting the organization’s mission and values to stakeholders and the
public.

The Communications Coordinator reports directly to the Executive Director
(ED) and works collaboratively with the ED and other staff.
