[BCMA] The Fraser River Discovery Centre is hiring!

The Fraser River Discovering is looking to fill several positions.

The FRDC is hiring for 4 summer positions: Summer Day Camp Instructors. Key responsibilities include:

  *   Create the best possible summer day camp experience for campers.
  *   Lead summer day camps for children in grades K-5 under the guidance of the FRDC’s Education
Programs Manager.
  *   Plan, prepare, and maintain summer camp and educational materials.
  *   Train and supervise summer camp volunteers.
  *   Contribute to a positive environment for all campers and visitors.
  *   Assist the Education department with public programs throughout the summer.
  *   Front desk coverage, exhibit maintenance, and other duties as required.
Application deadline is April 16th.

We are also looking for a Program Coordinator for a term contract, with a possibility of extension. Key responsibilities include:

·        Develop and deliver River Champions program with support from volunteers, Education Programs Manager, and other FRDC staff.

·        Work with learners and teachers of grade 6 to 12 in BC.

·        Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with external partners including knowledge holders, scientists, educators, and other Canadian Association of Science Centres members.

·        Conduct formative evaluation of the River Champions program with support from other staff.
Application deadline is April 18th.
