[BCMA] Fwd: Insurance on artifacts

I am asking this on behalf of the Nechako Valley Historical Society.

I am sure this has been asked many times before, but we had a long
discussion at our last meeting about insuring the museum artifacts.

The buildings are insured, and we have director’s insurance.

I need information on the pros and cons of purchasing artifact insurance.

If you do have insurance, where do you get it and how do you put a value on
an artifact that can never be replaced?
