[BCMA] Covid-19 Provincial and regional restrictions

Provincial restrictions
<https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/covid-19/info/restrictions> are in
place to help stop the spread of COVID-19. The restrictions are made by the
Provincial Health Officer (PHO) under the Public Health Act.
Province-wide restrictions
To help keep B.C. safe, the PHO has introduced province-wide restrictions.
These restrictions must be followed in addition to regional restrictions

As of December 22, 2021
These restrictions are in effect until January 18, 2022.
- Indoor organized gatherings

of
any size are not allowed. This includes gatherings like New Year's Eve
parties, weddings or other celebrations
- Indoor events at venues
<https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/covid-19/info/restrictions#events-venues>
can
only have 50% capacity. This includes events like concerts, sports or movies
- Bars, nightclubs and lounges are closed

- Restaurants, cafes and pubs

can
have a maximum of 6 people at each table
- Adult gyms, fitness centres and dance studios

closed
As of December 20, 2021
These restrictions are in effect until January 31, 2022.
- Indoor personal gatherings

limited to your household plus 10 visitors or 1 other household. Everyone
12 + must be fully vaccinated
- At restaurants, cafes and pubs
<https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/covid-19/info/restrictions#restaurants-bars>,
customers must stay seated and cannot move between or visit other tables.
Masks are required when not seated
- All sports tournaments

and
related travel are not allowed
PHO order on gatherings and events
This content is a summary of the verbal PHO order on gatherings and events.
It is not legal advice and does not provide an interpretation of the
law. In the event of any conflict or difference between this webpage and
the order, the order is correct and legal and must be followed.
Personal gatherings
Indoor personal gatherings at your home or vacation accommodation are
limited to your household plus 10 visitors or 1 other household. Everyone
12+ must be fully vaccinated

There are no restrictions for outdoor personal gatherings.
Indoor organized gatherings
Indoor organized gatherings of any size are not allowed. Examples of an
organized gathering include:
- New Year's Eve parties
- Wedding receptions
- Funeral receptions
- Other life events or celebrations
Indoor events at venues
Indoor events at venues can only have 50% capacity, no matter the size.
- This includes events like concerts, sports or movies
- Everyone must be fully vaccinated to attend
- Venues must scan proof of vaccination QR codes for entry

- Everyone must wear a mask indoors

- Dancing is not permitted
All spectators must be seated at:
- Sports events, concerts, theatre, dance and symphony performances
- Lectures, presentations and workshops
- Sponsored and ticketed events
Outdoor organized gatherings
Outdoor organized seated gatherings can have a capacity of 5,000 people or
50% capacity, whichever is greater. For example, if the venue has a normal
seated capacity of 30,000 people, 15,000 people can attend.
