<b>Kelowna Art Gallery</b> and <b>Central Okanagan Public Schools</b> celebrate a major milestone: 40 years of bringing student masterpieces out into the gaze of the public in the annual
<i>Art in Action</i> exhibition.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoPlainText"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoPlainText"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">“Reaching the 40th anniversary of this partnership is a profound testament to the creative spirit thriving within our community's schools,” says
<b>Nataley Nagy</b>, Executive Director at the Kelowna Art Gallery. “Providing a professional platform for these young artists not only validates their hard work but allows the entire region to witness the incredible depth of talent and the unique perspectives
held by our local youth.”<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoPlainText"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Young artists from across the Central Okanagan in Grades 9 to 12 were invited to participate in this landmark edition of the exhibition. Nearly 100 individual artworks
have been assembled, creating a vibrant "kaleidoscope" of perspectives for visitors to explore.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoPlainText"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoPlainText"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">The theme, Kaleidoscope, was chosen as it symbolizes change, transformation, and the power of perspective. Much like the optical instrument itself, the exhibition represents
how life’s experiences, both triumphs and challenges, can be reframed to create new patterns and meanings. It serves as a visual metaphor for the interconnectedness of individual student voices coming together to create a diverse and complex whole.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
