<div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:small">We are having similar problems with attracting new volunteers. Pre-COVID we had over 225 volunteers that were engaged and actively supporting our Society. Post-COVID we have just over 100 volunteers with maybe 25-30 that are actively participating. We have been unable to attend some of the "Volunteer Fairs" at a local facility due to lack of volunteers. </div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:small">At the same time, "project" funding seems to have disappeared and been replaced with "program" funding. Because we have lost so many volunteers, we no longer have any programs so we no longer qualify for most funding. While we have lots of ideas, we struggle to find volunteers and the financial assistance needed to complete projects, replace outdated equipment and maintain capital assets.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:small">We are hoping that someday soon the right connection will be made.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:small">We are committing more dollars to advertising for our three major events of the year. That will hopefully increase the number of attendees (who are always potential volunteers). We are also increasing visitor/volunteer interactions at local events to try to attract volunteers.
