are re-examining their practices to include more diverse perspectives. How can we guarantee truthful and respectful storytelling? This session will examine how can we ensure the empowerment of Chinese Canadian histories in British Columbia. First, we’ll examine</span><span style="font-family: Aptos, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt; color: rgb(36, 36, 36); background-color: white;"> the
concept of safeguarding and provide a deconstruction of the term and the concept of Chinese Canadian history. Secondly, Ms. Fong will offer some examples of case studies that highlight oral history and intangible heritage in museum contexts. Finally, we’ll
discuss what skills and resources are needed and available to do this work.</span></p>
