<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Members of the public can sign up for a class of painting in acrylics or watercolours, drawing, mixed media, printmaking, or explore a more specialized media during one
of the 1- or 2-day weekend workshops. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<b>Victoria Verge</b>, Education Coordinator of Adult Programs at the Kelowna Art Gallery. “Having the opportunity to learn directly from an artist in a supportive and imaginative atmosphere provides students with a safe place to unleash their creativity and

<b>Jim Elwood</b>, <b>Sarah Parsons</b>, <b>Kyle L. Poirier</b>, <b>Dylan Ranney</b>,
<b>Jen Rempel</b>, <b>Annabel Stanley</b>, <b>Rena Warren</b>, and <b>Fay Wolfenden</b> will lead the classes and workshops.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Most classes run for six weeks, and cater to absolute beginners, as well as those of intermediate skill level. Beginners will learn the basic principles of their preferred
medium, while also discussing, exploring, and expressing themselves through art. More advanced students will build on their existing skills through creative exercises to develop their abilities. Instruction by the Gallery’s art teachers is supportive, motivating,
and inspiring. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">The cost for each six-week-long series of classes is $160.00, or $128.00 for Gallery members.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">The Gallery will also be hosting special weekend workshops throughout the fall. They offer participants the opportunity to immerse themselves in a particular project working
alongside a skilled artist/instructor. Workshops include <i>Glass Art Mosaics</i>,
<i>Willow Weaving: Quails</i>, and <i>“Materialize” – Introduction to Sculpture</i>, among others.
