[BCMA] Louis Riel: Reflections of a Métis Hero available to book

The Amelia Douglas Institute's Discover Our Stories program<https://ameliadouglasinstitute.ca/connect-with-us/metis-heritage-presentation> is designed to match organizations with talented storytellers and virtual presentations on aspects of Métis culture, heritage, and art. These bookable sessions are an opportunity for anyone to learn more about Métis people - not as a lecture but as a compelling collection of stories.

As the dates of the 1885 Battle of Batoche approach, we wanted to raise awareness about our newest offering "Louis Riel: Reflections of a Métis Hero."

Hear a presentation about Riel and his legacy from a Métis perspective. Called the most written about man in Canadian history, Louis Riel stands larger than life. Riel was a Métis leader, politician, and the founder of the province of Manitoba. For generations, history books labelled Riel as a traitor and omitted Métis stories - or appropriated his image and legacy for their own purposes. Celebrate justice, culture, and community with us while contemplating the legacy of our heroes and how we choose them.

This and our other two (soon to be three) stories are available virtually for the cost of $350, or $100 for non-profits. Each of them is about 30-40 minutes with time for questions and conversation at the end. Consider adding it as programming for your users, or as an instructive opportunity for your team to engage with Indigenous stories.
