I recommend connecting with NARA the Nanaimo Amateur Radio Association!
Nanaimo Amateur Radio Association – VE7NA<https://ve7na.ca/>

They are also great at public outreach so if you are planning an exhibit opening, they may be willing to travel and do a demonstration! They set up an amazing live station during our Science Sunday Expo when I was involved with Nanaimo Science.
Feel free to share my name as a contact with their president Mason when reaching out 🙂

Hello,

I work in educational programming for the Alberni Valley Museum, and we're developing an exhibit for schools related to telegraphs and morse code. We were wondering if anyone has a spare morse "straight key" they would be willing to donate to us. Examples of sturdy, common straight keys that would work for our purposes are the Grimmer Wilson 10F/556 RCAF key, or the J-38 key, or the SpeedX key.
I can be reached at sherry_towers at portalberni.ca<mailto:sherry_towers at portalberni.ca>

Thanks!

Sherry
