Registration for the AABC-hosted workshop "Bit by Bit: Getting Started with
Digital Preservation and Managing Digital Objects" has been updated and
will now be held on Wednesday, March 11. We appreciate your understanding
for setting a new date.
The updated registration deadline is March 4 @5:00pm. Details for the

*‘Bit by Bit’: Getting Started with Digital Preservation and Managing
Digital Objects*
Date: Wednesday, March 11, 2026
Time: 9:00am - 12:00pm PST
Location: online via Zoom
This introductory workshop covers digital preservation fundamentals and
practical first steps for assessing and managing digital assets for
long-term access. Participants will learn the functions of digital
preservation and how to understand, document, protect, monitor, and
maintain their digital materials. Designed for archivists, community
heritage workers, and volunteers with little experience in digital
preservation - or those feeling overwhelmed – this session will help
clarify priorities and identify achievable first steps toward a digital
preservation program.
Registration fee: $90.00 (AABC members); $135.00 (non-members)
