Hi everyone,
I’m sharing a summer job opportunity that may be of interest to those with
a passion for history, archives, or community-based work.
The Golden & District Historical Society is hiring an *Archival Assistant
in Administration and Digitization* for a 13-week position running from May
25 to August 24, 2026, based at the Golden Museum and Archives in Golden,
BC.
This role involves supporting the day-to-day operations of the archives,
assisting with collections management, and working on digitization
projects. It’s a great opportunity for someone who is organized, adaptable,
and interested in archival or museum work. Experience with administration,
data entry, or handling historical materials is an asset, but a willingness
to learn is equally important.
The position offers:
- $25/hour, 35 hours per week + vacation pay
- Hands-on archival and digitization experience
- A flexible and varied work environment
Please see the attached PDF for full details, including responsibilities,
eligibility requirements, and how to apply. The application deadline is *May
8, 2026*.
Feel free to share this with anyone who might be interested!
Best,
