*BCMA Workshop - How to: Queer Your Historic House with Indigo

What hidden queer stories might be hiding in your collection? Australian
researcher and heritage professional Indigo Dunphy-Smith, now based in
Scotland, invites you on a journey of curiosity and possibility with her
toolkit How to: Queer Your Historic House. This playful, practical approach
shows how queering history doesn’t require new acquisitions or big budgets,
it works with what you already have.

This two-part session begins with an introduction to the toolkit and a case
study that shows how it can be put into practice, opening up fresh ways of
seeing and interpreting history. The second session is hands-on: bring
along an object or story from your own collection that might hold queer
meaning, and together we’ll explore how to apply these methods across
different contexts.

*Allies are welcome! *From Australia, to Scotland, to Canada, this is an
opportunity to experiment, reframe, and spark more inclusive conversations
