BC colleagues,
Smaller museums face a particular challenge with visitor technology: we
can't match the app budgets of major institutions, and we shouldn't try to.
I've written about why simpler, audio-first approaches might actually serve
smaller museums better than trying to build feature-rich apps:

The argument: Technology that "disappears" - QR codes that launch audio
without downloads, minimal interfaces that don't compete with exhibits -
scales better for institutions with limited tech budgets and staff.
This feels especially relevant for BC's diverse museum landscape, from
community museums to specialized collections.
Would be interested in perspectives from colleagues managing visitor tech
on limited resources.
*Sincerely / Med Venlig Hilsen*
