Colleagues,
Registration is now OPEN for the AABC Distance education course,
"Introduction to Archival Preservation" (January 12 - March 23, 2026).
Students will be introduced to the concepts and terminology in archival
preservation and the best practices for the preservation of paper records,
photographs, machine readable records, and electronic media. Students will
also learn about design requirements for archives buildings and storage
environments, the exhibition of archival records, and emergency planning.
*Registration fee:*
- AABC members $350.00 CAD
- Non-members $500.00 CAD
Plus the cost of the course textbook
*Course registration deadline: *December 29, 2025.

*AABC Anti-Racism Bursary*
The AABC Anti-Racism Bursary is now accepting applications for the distance
education course "Introduction to Archival Preservation" (January 12 -
March 23, 2026). The Bursary covers registration and textbook costs for one
Indigenous, Black and/or Person of Colour (IBPOC) per distance education
course. Priority will be given to BC residents, but applications from
elsewhere in Canada are also welcome. Both members and non-members of the
AABC are invited to apply.
