[BCMA] Métis Night in Vancouver - Please Share!

Hi all,

A member of our IBPOC network asked us to help spotlight a great weekly
community event: *Métis Night*!

It takes place every Thursday evening at the Vancouver Indigenous Centre
(1607 East Hastings Street), in the Chief Simon Baker Room. Please share
with your friends and colleagues- *this event is open to everyone*!

*Yvonne Chartrand (well known championship jigger) started Métis Night at
the same venue 12 years ago and I've helped facilitate it too all of those
years except during Covid.  Please share to your bulletins as people
haven't returned in numbers and we might not be able to keep it up much
longer which would be a shame.At Métis Night we teach jigging, the old
dances, have potlucks, have special guests, and a place to gather and
visit, etc.  we often have master fiddler Kathleen Nisbet accompany our
dancing! Métis night is every Thursday from 5:30-7:00 pm and everyone is
welcome. Chief Simon Baker Room at the Vancouver Indigenous Centre at 1607
East Hastings Street. We are on Facebook under Métis Night in groups.*
