[BCMA] Invitation to CARTA Information Session - March 26

Please join us for an information session about the Collaborative ART Archive (CARTA <https://carta.archive-it.org/>)! 

CARTA is an international cohort of art libraries collaboratively capturing and preserving at-risk web-based art materials. The program preserves and provides public access to web-based art resources - totalling over 19 TB of data so far - preserved in perpetuity by the Internet Archive <https://archive.org/about/>. 

As art reference and research resources primarily or solely available on the web are inherently ephemeral, CARTA ensures that these resources will be accessible far into the future. The research potential of CARTA’s collections is promoted through in-person workshops, datathons, conference presentations, and virtual training sessions focused on computational research with web archive data. Our efforts to engage program partners in growing CARTA’s collections are guided by a commitment to inclusivity and diversity, creating a broad community of art librarian professionals involved in the program. With this commitment in mind, we invite you to attend our upcoming information session to learn more about the program, meet program staff, and discuss potential collaboration opportunities. 

The half-hour information session will be held on March 26 at 11am PT.
