Caetani Centre Returns to Rome with Upcoming Fundraiser Caetani Splash
fundraiser August 14th features a “Return to Rome” theme, celebrating a
major Italian exhibition.

VERNON, B.C. — The Caetani Centre invites the community to experience the
spirit of an Italian summer without leaving the Okanagan at its signature
fundraising event — Caetani Splash: Return to Rome — taking place Thursday,
August 14, 2025, from 5:30 to 9:30 PM on the historic Caetani Centre
grounds. Gates open at 5:00 PM.

This year’s event is themed Return to Rome, honouring a major international
milestone: Sveva Caetani’s life and art will be the subject of a large-scale
feature exhibition

opening this fall at Rome’s MAXXI National Museum. This will be the first
time her work will be shown outside Canada, and the full Recapitulation
series exhibited in its entirety.

“We look forward to celebrating this achievement with those who support
Caetani Centre and the vibrant North Okanagan arts scene,” said Caetani
Centre Executive Director Laisha Rosnau. “This year’s event will
encapsulate the rustic charm of an alfresco Italian night in Roma and will
also be a return to the fabulous Splash events that have been held in the
past at Caetani. Think Mediterranean-inspired elegance with warm, inviting
colours, delicious Italian food served family-style at long tables and
surrounded by the trees and recently restored gardens.”

Guests are encouraged to dress in red, white, and green — colours of the
Italian flag — or whatever interpretation they prefer, and enjoy a vibrant
evening of food, music, and art, including:

   Aperol and antipasti reception

   Live entertainment
   -

   Family-style Italian dinner (with vegetarian and gluten-free options)
   -

   Dessert and aperitif toast
   -

   Silent and live art auctions featuring esteemed local artists
   -

   A lovely alternate location in case of smoke or inclement weather


“We are especially grateful to all the Okanagan-based artists who have
graciously supported us with contributions this year,” said Gabrielle
Strong, Splash committee artist liaison. “We have a spectacular lineup of
18 stunning pieces going into the live auction, and another 30 gorgeous
works of art in the silent auction, all by some of the best artists in the
Okanagan. Artist Jordan Perkins will also create a live painting during the
gala to be auctioned off at the end of the evening.”

Both the live and silent auctions feature a diverse range of paintings in
watercolour, acrylics, oils and multi-media, as well as sculptural and
three-dimensional works. Pre-registration and bidding for the silent

All works of art in the silent and live auction will be on display for
public viewing at the Caetani Gallery on August 9, 12 and 13 from 10 am to
4 pm.

Tickets for the Caetani Splash are $150 per person, with discounted rates
available for full tables of eight. Tickets can be purchased in person at
the Caetani Centre (Tuesday to Saturday, 10 AM–4 PM), or online at Showpass

All proceeds support the Caetani Centre’s arts, culture, and heritage
