*Recognizing, Analyzing, and Neutralizing Disinformation*
*Ontario Nonprofit Network (ONN)*

Thursday, February 13
10:00am - 12:00pm Eastern Time (7:00am Pacific Time)
Online, not recorded
CA$37.61

In this two-hour session, hosted by the team at Spitfire Strategies,
participants will learn the difference between misinformation,
disinformation, and fake news. We will cover the techniques and rhetorical
strategies that bad actors use to push and spread disinfo so that nonprofit
communications teams can learn to recognize and call out the strategies
when appropriate.

This session will explore practical messaging tools that can be deployed to
neutralize disinformation, including what messages you can share with your
audience so that they can spot disinfo when they see it and ways to debunk
misinformation about your core issues when it is circulating.

This session is open to all nonprofit staff and leaders but is geared
towards those that work in communications, advocacy, and policy.
