2025 Earring Show Call for Entry

The 12th edition of the Earring Show will be an exciting exhibition and sales opportunity for contemporary, designer-makers producing wearable art in a whole host of mediums. TES 2024 had 89 applications from 20 countries!

  <https://craftcouncilbc.app.neoncrm.com/neon/resource/craftcouncilbc/images/lee_y_objectsofhuman_02.png> The Earring Show serves as a unique space that presents earrings as art, culture and a snapshot of contemporary high-level craftsmanship. Over the past 7000 years, earrings have acted as a window into cultural practices. At times, earrings have been used to introduce new norms into culture, at other times, to signify a specific cultural identity or as an expression of the times we find ourselves in.

 By participating in this event your unique contribution – informed by your experience, imagination & culture – will continue to recognize the importance of earrings in their many roles, from adornment and status markers, to agents of protest and cultural markers.

Something to consider when choosing your submission – last year’s jurors noted that a significant number of applicants had amazing designs but the  earring findings were poorly designed and executed – so these earrings were excluded from participating in the show.
