The Comox Museum has just received a National Cash Register that was used
by one our earliest local businesses.

The register is a Model 1055, serial number 905461. If you do a search for
National Cash Register and the model number you can see what it looks like.

This is a brass register. It has been restored a couple of times in
the past.

It arrived in pieces:
The mechanism in its frame
The cash drawer
The brass shell that covers the mechanism
The top.

The marble on the front of the cash drawer is missing, also missing are the
bolts that would be used to secure all these parts together.

Does anyone know of someone with knowledge of these cash registers who
might offer advice or know the appropriate fasteners to use to secure the
parts.
