Hi Lorenda,
At my former place of work (Nanaimo Science) - not so much a museum, but, still an interactive place for learning, we partnered with libraries in a few different ways:
1.
Summer Reading Program - hosting a few workshops based on the themes, at libraries or at another location (a park) for story time (done by library) followed by hands-on science activities (which we provided).
2.
Working with the library to have them develop a list of recommended reading for a special event we hosted (e.g. World Ocean Day)
3.
Story walk (indoors, at our location)
4.
Inviting the library to table at a large expo/fair for families that we hosted
Had we had more funding, we would have also:
*
attended their parent & tot time with hands-on activities for preschoolers/toddlers
*
arranged for movie screenings (Library has licenses for this) alongside a talk or activities based on this theme that we would provide
*
hosted workshops at the library for patrons to enjoy free of charge
*
arranged for exploration boxes/kits as part of their circulating items.
I hope this is helpful!

We acknowledge the lək ̓ʷəŋən (Songhees and Esquimalt) Peoples on whose territory the Nature Sanctuary stands, and the lək ̓ʷəŋən and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day.
We respect the vital relationships of First Peoples with these lands and waters for countless generations. We are honoured to receive Indigenous guidance and welcome collaboration in stewardship and appreciation of the Nature Sanctuary.

Hi All,
Looking for examples of collaborative relationships between museums and libraries - specially youth programming but open to any examples.
Thanks so much!

The BC Museums Association office is located on the traditional, unceded lands of the Lekwungen<https://vimeo.com/275788251> peoples (Songhees and Xwsepsum Nations). We respect past, present, and future Indigenous stewards and recognize that we are uninvited guests on this territory.
