Let the AABC help you with your orientation and archives training for
summer grant positions, student interns, volunteers, and employees in the
heritage and information management field who will be working with, or are
interested in archival records!
In this 2.5 hour webinar "Archival Foundations for Summer Students and
Volunteers", participants will be introduced to key archival concepts and
the workflow of organizing legacy collections (aka tackling your backlog of
records). We will also talk about best practices and standards for
processing records in different formats including textual records,
photographs, audio visual media, and electronic records. Discussion will
include how to create a stable and secure environment to promote the
long-term preservation, access, and use of archival records. A copy of the
presentation slides and resource handouts will be provided to participants
upon registration.

*Cost:* AABC members: $25.00 per person; non members $40.00 per person
