Hello!
This is the last weekend to sign up for the speaker series on Wednesday October 2nd at 12pm. We currently have 8 people registered, and we would love to have more people come in and discuss accessibility and inclusivity. This course is completely FREE and available virtually.
Please see more information below.
Speaker Series: Inclusive Practices
When we make positive changes for marginalized groups, we make positive changes for everyone. For example, building curb ramps in sidewalks for those in wheelchairs benefited those who walked with canes or walkers, mothers with strollers and people on bikes. What changes can we make in our public spaces, events and services to be more accessible for those who have higher to reach needs? What can you do individually? When you meet the highest needs of many, you can meet the needs of all, and you never know what anyone else is dealing with.
Let’s discuss barriers we may not recognize in our workplaces or facilities and how we can improve everyone’s experiences.

About our Speaker: Camille Netherton and REACH Child and Youth Development Society
Camille Netherton is a Manager, Behaviour Consultant and Key Worker at Reach Child and Youth Development Society since 1996. While providing services to approximately 1,500 families annually, Netherton says “Families that have any kind of concern about their child’s development can come in and talk to us and we will try to find the proper program to serve their needs.”
Reach Child and Youth Development Society is a non-profit organization that has been providing programs and services to children and their families since 1959, currently serving the communities of Delta, Surrey and Langley, B.C. We offer a variety of programs and services designed to meet the needs of children to ensure their optimum development. REACH’s focus is to serve children from birth to age 25.
Sincerely,
