Hello,
Vancouver Heritage Foundation is offering 5 fully sponsored tickets for post-secondary students to our upcoming Heritage Conservation Education workshop this fall.
Our Heritage Conservation courses teach the skills and knowledge for the care and maintenance of older buildings and heritage sites. Students from the faculties of architecture, history, planning, environmental management, etc. would be of particular interest. We kindly ask that you share widely and forward to prospective students.
This opportunity is open to all Lower Mainland post-secondary institutions and fields on a first-come first-serve basis. Those that are interested can email katherine at vancouverheritagefoundation.org <mailto:katherine at vancouverheritagefoundation.org> with a copy of their valid student ID.
📝 Creating a Heritage Conservation Plan | Wednesday, November 6th, 6pm – 9pm
Five fully sponsored student tickets available
In-person workshop at Heritage Hall
In many municipalities in BC, a Heritage Conservation Plan is a mandatory document for development permits involving a listed heritage property or for the purposes of a Heritage Revitalization Agreement, but it also represents a helpful and thorough decision-making process for owners of old buildings.
In this informative in-person workshop, heritage professional Elana Zysblat will illustrate how to create a Heritage Conservation Plan using real case studies.
💻 Heritage 101 on Demand
We are recruiting participants to participate in the pilot cohort of the new and improved Heritage 101 this fall. Funded through a grant from the Government of Canada’s Community Services Recovery Fund, the new on-demand course will launch to the public in 2025.
If you are interested in participating, please contact us at mail at vancouverheritagefoundation.org<mailto:mail at vancouverheritagefoundation.org>
Further details on each workshop can be found on our website - https://www.vancouverheritagefoundation.org/events/workshops-and-talks/heritage-conservation-education/.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me.
