[BCMA] Press Release - New Community Collaborated Display at the Sidney Museum's Annual LEGO® Brick Exhibit

For Immediate Release

New community collaborated display coming to the Sidney Museum’s 19th
Annual LEGO® Brick Exhibit

Sidney, British Columbia, November 22, 2024 - The Sidney Museum is excited
to announce the Community Creations display, a new feature in the upcoming
19th Annual LEGO® Brick Exhibit. Members of the public are now invited to
submit their own LEGO® Brick creations to be displayed at the museum.

The Community Creations display will feature 48 unique builds over the
course of the exhibit. These creations will be done by community members
who can submit their ideas to the Sidney Museum for review. If selected,
they will be displayed at the Sidney Museum for one month, either January,
February, or March 2025.

Submissions must be smaller than 10” Wide x 10” Long x 10” High, made
entirely of LEGO® bricks, and be original designs in order to be selected
for display.

“Getting the community involved in its annual LEGO® brick exhibit is always
a goal of the Sidney Museum,” says Michael Goodchild, Executive Director.
“Whether playing with LEGO® bricks and building sets is a lifelong passion
or a newfound hobby, this collaborative display has a place for everyone.”

The complete rules and submission forms for the Community Creations display
can be found on the Sidney Museum’s website at
sidneymuseum.ca/programs/lego-community-creations. Submissions will remain
open until all slots are filled.

The Sidney Museum’s 19th Annual LEGO® Brick Exhibit will run from December
20, 2024 - March 30, 2025. The Sidney Museum is located in the lower level
of the Olde Post Office building at 2423 Beacon Avenue and is open everyday
from 10:00am-4:00pm, except for December 25-26, and January 1, 2025.
Admission is by donation.
