Revelstoke Museum and Archives created the travelling exhibit Land of
Thundering Snow - Exploring Avalanche History and Safety in Canada in 2020.

The exhibit teaches visitors about avalanches, and the impact that
avalanches have had on human settlement, migration, travel, and
transportation. It includes an interactive avalanche map tracking fatal
avalanches throughout Canada from 1782 to the present. The exhibit is
designed to fit into a room as small as 12 feet x 12 feet and can be adapted
for multiple configurations. The exhibit is fully bilingual in both English
and French. Please see the attached brochure for more information.

Rental for the exhibit is $3000 for a six-month rental. The borrower is
responsible for one way shipping. Funding may be available from the
Exhibition Circulation Fund of Museums Assistance Program.

Rental availability is open for the following slots:

                October 2025 to March 2026

                April 2026 to September 2026

April 2027 and all following dates
