Colleagues,

Start the new year off with the opportunity to learn about the care and
management of architectural records!

Registration is currently open for the AABC distance education course
"Managing Plans and Drawings". Architectural records are perhaps the least
understood medium in the archival world. There are many different types of
drawings - from blueprints to renderings, sketches to CADs. What should you
accept, what is valuable, how are they best preserved? Using the
publication Architectural Records: Managing Design and Construction
Records, students will be introduced to the management of plans and
drawings over seven modules that cover the history of architecture,
appraisal of architectural drawings, arrangement and description,
preservation, access and digitization best practices.

Registration: closes January 5, 2025

Course duration: January 6 – March 17, 2025

Registration cost: AABC members $350.00 / Non-members $500.00, plus the
cost of the course textbook.

For more information about the course and links to register, please visit
the AABC website at: https://aaobc.wildapricot.org/Managing-Plans-&-Drawings
