Hi All,

am working for a non-profit music group right now and did a little research with respect to ticket sales, donations, and online stores. The group wasn't happy with Eventbrite and wanted to also offer tax deductible receipts automatically.

I found a Canadian Non-Profit Organization that offers these services, free from charge. The bonus was that the group also absorbs credit card fees. We get 100% of our sales, and donations . The only catch is that the Organization also makes a pitch for a voluntary donation to their cause. It isn't aggressive at all.

The nonprofit group is called Zeffy. They can be found at https://zeffy.com.

We did an exhaustive reference check with other non-profits using Zeffy and everyone gave glowing reviews. We have used it for a month now and are thrilled with the service. Tickets that are issued are scannable at the door using your cell.

Good luck and if you have any further questions, I would be happy to answer any.

Subject: [BCMA] event ticket sales providers

Hey all!

We currently use Eventbrite for our special events tickets (workshops, rsvps to openings etc). I had issues working with them before, but now that they have partnered with stripe, they are asking for personal information from our board members and they do not seem to understand that this goes against our privacy policy.

As such, I want to switch and use a different service. What ticketing services are you all using for your various events? Do you like it? Why? What services should we avoid?

Thanks in advance for your recommendations!
