We are delighted to invite you to an evening dedicated to raising awareness and funds for the Walking Alongside Trauma (WAT) initiative, a project led by the Craft Council of BC (CCBC) in collaboration with McGill University and Douglas College.

📅 Date & Time: August 26th | 6-10p
📍 Venue: The Flamingo Room, 1214 Commercial Dr, Vancouver, BC V5L 2T4

About the Initiative:
The WAT exhibition seeks to illuminate the profound impacts of VTSV on individuals who are directly engaged with survivors' trauma. These individuals, whom we call “Witnesses,” include crisis support workers, family members, healthcare providers, educators, and peers. The exhibition aims to highlight the emotional and psychological toll on these compassionate individuals who play a critical role in supporting survivors.

Evening Highlights:
• Live Music: Enjoy an enchanting performance by <https://api.neonemails.com/emails/tracking/click-link/l-Bd7v4kEz1QQ2n81lmk_KCBMRkI9h91tVZyaDSL0ns=/FVkJkGIPRwg6OB6Jtktc0TYVSDJZL1DBp-ZrI2zEbSE=> Lenny Pallerstein, whose music will add a special touch to the evening.
• Silent Auction: Participate in our silent auction featuring a range of experiential items that promise to provide unique and memorable experiences.

Why Your Presence Matters:
• Fundraising for a Cause: Your attendance will help us document our findings, compensate artists, provide therapeutic support, and offer honorariums to participants.
• Raise Awareness: Support our efforts to promote understanding and empathy for those affected by VTSV.
Your contribution will play a vital role in fostering a compassionate and informed community response to sexualized violence trauma. We look forward to an amazing evening with you!

With appreciation,
CCBC Staff
